Active Shooter / Active Assailant
Getting away from the shooter or shooters is the top priority.
Service Description
You must act quickly in an active shooter situation, which is unusual. We know people should be trained to make life-saving decisions in active shooter situations. The priority is escaping the gunman. Abandon everything and run. Help others escape, but leave nonetheless. Notify and keep people out of active shooter areas. When safe, call 9-1-1 and explain the shooter, location, and weapons. Avoid the gunman and be silent. Quiet and unvibrate all electronics. Close blinds, locks, and lights. Avoid hiding. To make it harder for the shooter, hide along walls or apart. Talk to cops quietly. Tag your location with a text, social network post, or window sign. Wait for law enforcement's approval. Your hiding area should hide you from the gunman and shield you from gunfire.
